Safe Steps is pleased to announce that our live web chat service is now available until midnight on weekdays.

The service connects users directly to a Family Violence Crisis Specialist. It is available to anyone in Victoria who is concerned about family violence or domestic abuse in their home or their community.

The service was first rolled out during the COVID-19 lockdowns in Victoria, as concern grew that women and children trapped at home with someone who uses violence could not  safely make a phone call.

Uptake of the live web chat service has increased steadily since then.
