What is immediate danger?

Immediate danger refers to situations where your life or safety is at serious and immediate risk. Call 000 immediately if you are experiencing any of the following.

Physical Threats

Someone is threatening to harm or kill you.

Physical violence is happening or has just occurred.

You are being followed, stalked, or are trapped.

Escalating Violence

A known abuser has forced entry or is nearby.

Tensions are escalating and violence feels imminent.

Weapons or dangerous objects are being used or threatened.

Non-Lethal Strangulation

You have been strangled or choked.

This is an urgent medical emergency. Call 000 immediately.

Threats Against Children

A child is being harmed or threatened.

Witnessing Violence

You or someone else is witnessing violent behaviour that may escalate.

Coercion or Forced Confinement
