In an inspiring collaboration, the Mazzei Foundation and Safe Steps are hosting their inaugural Gala at Marvel Stadium on Saturday, 21 September 2024. This event marks the beginning of a powerful movement aimed at raising awareness and funds to support people affected by family and domestic violence.
With a focus on creating safe, supportive environments for survivors, the Mazzei Foundation has committed to extensive fundraising efforts to benefit Safe Steps. The funds raised will directly support the critical services that Safe Steps provides, including 24/7 crisis support and accommodation, care packages, essential items, and educational materials for children.
“The Gala is the start of a movement,” said Samantha Mazzei, Co-Founder of the Mazzei Foundation. “ Our alliance with Safe Steps reflects our unwavering commitment to stand alongside people navigating their darkest hours. We have seen the impact of a community coming together, and we believe that, together, we can inspire real change in addressing family and domestic violence.”
“The partnership aims to leave a lasting legacy by raising awareness, educating the public, and supporting both immediate and long-term needs for survivors. “By fostering a culture of understanding, transparency, and action, we hope to empower those affected by family and domestic violence to break free from the cycle of abuse and build sustainable, positive futures,” added Mazzei.
The Gala, hosted at Marvel Stadium, will bring together key leaders from the building and construction industry, advocates, and those with lived experiences. The event will feature powerful stories, entertainment, and opportunities for guests to contribute to the cause. The Mazzei Foundation hopes to rally the construction community to address broader issues, including the shortage of transitional housing solutions for victims of family and domestic violence.
